Both the prices of homes and the number of sales have risen in San Diego County, which should help some naysayers finally see that there really is some improvement in the jobs and pay of those living there.
Home sales in San Diego County jumped by 4.2 percent in September, compared to the same month a year ago, while prices rose by 11.1 percent, a real estate information service announced Friday.
A total of 3,214 homes changed hands in San Diego County last month, compared to 3,084 in September 2011, according to DataQuick. The median price of a home in San Diego County in September was $350,000, up from $315,000 in September 2011.
