 Already one of San Diego's largest and world renowned attractions, SeaWorld San Diego is looking to launch its third Aquatica waterpark in the sunny city sometime early in 2013. Built on the site of former Knott's Soak City, fans of the old park will have to bid a fond farewell. Aquatica promises to satisfy all comers, however, by introducing new slides, unique rides and plenty of entertainment.
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is set to launch its third Aquatica waterpark in San Diego, US in early 2013.
The Orlando-based company has acquired Knott's Soak City in San Diego, a standalone Southern California waterpark, from Cedar Fair Entertainment Company.
Located in Chula Vista, the park is set to undergo extensive renovations to transform it into an Aquatica featuring a variety of water slides and rides, themed entertainment and exotic animals.
