Tycho The time has come again and the fifth annual Treasure Island Music Festival is set to launch on October 13th and 14th. This year the popular artist Tycho is bringing along his electronic vibes alongside Scott Hansen. Tycho expressed disappointment with his mistimed release 'Dive' but hopes the live show will breathe life into the album.
San Francisco electronic music artist Tycho brings his sleek, summery, nature vibes to the fifth annual Treasure Island Music Festival on Saturday, and it’s a homecoming of sorts for Mission district resident Scott Hansen, who has been on tour promoting his 2011 Ghostly records release “Dive” for most of the year.
Inspired by life in the Bay Area — with its easy access to the Pacific, as well as ancient redwood forests and verdant valleys — “Dive” is a sunny, ambient record of steady beats and mellow, guitar-based melodies. It’s also the perfect soundtrack accompanying breezy, jaw-dropping sunset views of The City from Treasure Island.
