 Charlie Leight Although art galleries in Scottsdale (and around the world) have been a staple in cultures for ages, they are starting to learn that they are not immune to the way industries now utilize technology. Some galleries have closed due to an inability to adapt while others have openly embraced changes.
Scottsdale's art gallery season is officially under way, with the Anniversary ArtWalk later this month.
But two of the bigger, notable galleries won't be participating amid the gallery district's changing landscape.
Nationally known Bentley Gallery is leaving its prime real estate on Marshall Way after 22 years for a warehouse area south of Chase Field in Phoenix.
Duley-Jones Gallery, which spent 10 years on Main Street and whose founder served recently as Scottsdale Gallery Association president, closed this year.<
