One of the best ways to get to know the local flavors and culture of a city or town is to visit one of its street fairs. Full of hometown musicians, snacks and drinks, the Scottsdale Street Fair offers guests and locals alike a great chance to get out and experience the liveliness of the city in a way that will show attendees just how fun Scottsdale can be.
When the weekly Scottsdale Street Fair launched in 2011, owners Keith and Shari Colombik envisioned it as being a fun, free event for kids and adults where they could listen to live music, go on kids' rides and shop for clothes, crafts and food at the farmers market, all while benefiting local charities. It worked. On Sunday, the Street Fair kicks off its second season with special guests the Arizona Rattlers, the 2012 Arena Bowl football champions. The team, cheerleaders and mascot will be there taking pictures with fans and signing autographs.
