 Judy Hedding New show The Taste premiered on ABC on Tuesday January 22, and one of our favorite Scottsdale and San Diego restaurateurs is starring on the show. Of course I'm talking about none other than Chef Brian Malarkey. Malarkey will be one of four judges who score contestants dishes, as well as the notable Anthony Bourdain.
Restauranteur and Chef Brian Malarkey, a Cali resident who brought his San Diego Searsucker restaurant concept to Scottsdale in 2012, will be one of the stars of a new TV show entitled The Taste. The two-hour premiere will air on ABC (Channel 15) at 7 p.m. local Arizona time on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
The gist of the show is that competitors create dishes attempting to impress four expert chefs -- Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre and Brian Malarkey -- each of whom will coach a team of four competitor cooks, some professional and some amateur. At the end of each episode, the experts judge the dishes blind and eliminations ensue.
