The best bars in New York City range in location from Brooklyn all the way to the Upper West Side. A few worth mentioning include “Canal Bar”, “Alibi”, “The Patriot”, “The Duck”, “Lucy’s”, and “Ding Dong Lounge”. All of which are well known for their cheap drafts and nightly specials.
Sometimes it's fun to dress up and trick some rich slob into paying for bottle service at The Boom Boom Room, but most of the time we prefer to seek refuge in one of NYC's many classic dive bars. These carved-out drinking holes are some of the city's simplest pleasures, rife with all the musty darkness, campy '80s flicks (or porn!) and Black Label beer-and-shot specials a seasoned barfly desires.
