New York City hotels are being shown a significant amount of financial love in the form of more than $400 million in upgrades to Starwood properties. Since the hotels are all already exceptional, it'll be interesting to watch just how Starwood makes them significantly better.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. said it has invested more than $400 million to upgrade its hotels in New York City.
Newly renovated properties include the Sheraton brand’s flagship hotel – Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, W New York – Times Square, W New York - Union Square, W New York, The Westin New York at Times Square and The Westin New York Grand Central.
Stamford, Conn.-based Starwood (NYSE: HOT) currently has 21 hotels from all nine of its brands in New York City, including the new properties The Chatwal, Sheraton Tribeca New York Hotel, and W New York – Downtown.
