With thousands of pieces of art in its permanent collection and a steady stream of fascinating special displays that are in conjunction with some of the biggest names in the world of art museums, the High Museum of Art has solidified itself as the top art museum in the Southeastern United States and is a well-recognized name for anyone who has a true love of fine arts. The truly impressive permanent collection houses works by notable artists along the lines of Claude Monet, Dorothea Lange, Chuck Close and Giovanni Battista Tiepolo.
However, one of the more interesting facets of the High Museum of Art in Atlanta is the display of self-taught artist’s pieces, something that only seems present in museums across the United States.
