War Heroes On Way to Washington DC

A special Heroes Flight bearing 24 veterans from World War II departed for Washington DC Thursday morning. The war heroes are to tour many of the national memorials and the US Capitol in honor of their valiant service during the darkest time in human history.

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - 24 veterans from World War II boarded a Heroes Flight for Washington DC Thursday morning. Brookshires is sponsoring the event for the 5th year.

The group of veterans was all smiles as they gathered to get on the bus. They were meeting new and old friends and sharing war stories with each other.
