For over 50 years the wax museum located in San Francisco at Fisherman’s Wharf, has been one of the most fascinating tourist attractions in the area. The museum has over 250 internationally-known personalities on display. From world leaders and celebrities to superstars or many of the worlds sports legends, you’ll be able to see up close some of these fascinating figures that have been recreated for all to enjoy.

This wax museum is one of the world’s largest. The museum originally opened in 1962 showcasing its first collection of life like and true to size figures. Creating the molds and building these figures is a layer by layer process that takes extensive periods of time and funds, ranging anywhere from $10,000 to $25,000 depending on the complexity and characteristics for each subject on display.

The museum continues to be a revolving door in regards to showcasing their figures. From classic and nostalgic superstars, American civil war action figures, glamour girls, to some of the most current famous people actively involved in today’s world of events. All of these figures are incredibly lifelike.

A visit to the museum is also a great way for the kid’s to learn some important historical facts that are presented with each wax figure on display. Private events are available with a wide variety of options including caterers, special décor, security, and even live entertainment.
