Practically every NFL fan in the nation is pining to have the Super Bowl held in their hometown and those in Charlotte might have this dream realized at some point over the next few years. City officials will be meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to pitch Charlotte as the next scheduled Super Bowl destination.
After what has been regarded as a successful Democratic National Convention last month, city leaders now have their eyes set on hosting another nationwide event--the Super Bowl.
More than a dozen city leaders are expected to meet with National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell in New York later this month to pitch and explore the city as a Super Bowl host.
Leaders will also tour the new MetLife Stadium, the NFL's home to the New York Giants and New York Jets.
