The San Diego Zoo Safari Park provides a“hands on” safari experience like no other. With over 1800 acres of roaming animals this is sure to be one of the most exciting safaris you’ve ever been on without leaving the country! With their huge variety of expeditions to choose from you may just need more then one day to see all of the things that interest you. Options include taking a tram, caravan truck or segway through the park. For a bird’s eye view of the park, an exciting zip line experience is also available.
Animals from around the world have been brought into the San Diego Zoo Safari Park; unless you plan on entering the deepest of jungles you will be hard pressed to see them anywhere else. From exotic to endangered species it seems as though the variety is never ending. This experience gives you the luxury of viewing these animals without all of the negative aspects that you may encounter on an actual excursion. During the summer months the park offers a variety of animal shows for your entertainment with some depending on the weather.
There are approximately ten different ticket packages to choose from and prices vary depending on which safari you choose. For those who prefer a more private tour the Ultimate Safari Package will give you the opportunity to experience a more personalized adventure. It will allow you to view more off-exhibit areas and to take part in a more personal interaction with the animals. There are several dining facilities located throughout the park offering everything from the all American hamburger to international cuisine.
