Luxury Hotel:
A work-hard, play-hard, party-like-a-rock-star mantra is in the air as the Hard Rock Hotel gets ready to celebrate a long awaited grand opening in downtown San Diego. Planted in the heart of the Gas Lamp Quarter and only blocks from PETCO Park, the impeccable accommodations, elevated service and personal attention are guaranteed to rock your socks off. Surrounded by hip restaurants and boutique shops, the hotel will also house Nobu, the internationally acclaimed Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant, a retro coffee shop named MaryJane's, and the luxurious Rock Spa, which offers a solid "detox" menu to complete the rock star experience.
Sited to open in the fall of 2007, the Hard Rock Hotel claims to have the ultimate in four-star luxury crash pads: 244 unconventionally designed Studios, each with signature "Sleep like a Rock" beds; 159 Hard Rock Suites including spa-like bathrooms and sensual mood lighting; and 17 Rock Star Suites designed for rock 'n roll royalty. One Rock Star Suite was designed by the Black Eyed Peas, featuring hand selected furniture, linens and personal touches. "Extras" in the Rock Star Suites include a fire pit, deck seating for 20, gorgeous panoramic views of the San Diego Bay, and an outdoor hot tub. Even the staff uniforms have the Hard Rock's rock 'n roll thread running through them, a custom creation designed by Will.I.am of the Black Eyed Peas.
Nobu, a magnet for food lovers and celebrities worldwide, will elevate the highly influential chef, Nobu Matsuhisa, further up the charts at the Hard Rock making it the hottest restaurant in town. Second to none, the rooftop pool bar is designed by Rande Gerber, and gorgeously bestows private cabanas and VIP service Las Vegas style - the perfect spot for beautiful people-watching. With signature treatments named Champagne Cocktail Body Soak and 4-Diamond Body Detox, the Rock Spa contributes world-class treatments for a total mind and body recharge. The Vault, a spectacular entertainment venue intended for live and unplugged concerts, celebrity DJs, and movie premieres will also house corporate events as well as the not-so-traditional rock 'n roll style wedding.
Of course, you don't have to be a rock star to stay (or own) at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, but I promise you'll adapt to the lifestyle much too easily.
Let the good times roll!
