The Clift Hotel San Francisco: A World of Elegance and Energy

Luxury Hotels: The Clift Hotel is an extraordinary blend of old-world elegance and contemporary vigor and charm. This modern, newly redesigned hotel is located right in the heart of San Francisco's Theatre District near Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf and the Financial District.

On entering the Clift Hotel in San Francisco guests will be mesmerized by the surrealistic enchantment of its high-ceilinged lobby and the digital art exhibitions in its celebrated and legendary Redwood Room. It was in fact Philippe Starck who redesigned the Clift giving it a new sense of style, which perfectly reflects the spirit of San Francisco.

The Clift Hotel offers 363 guest rooms with cool white, cream and lavender tones, they are generously proportioned and elegantly decorated with luxurious fabrics such as silk, leather and velvet, creating an effect that is richly layered and sophisticated. Floor-to-ceiling mirrors on opposite walls create a soothing infinity effect and reflect the light from the Bay Area. Modern facilities are also an added comfort, which compliment the elegance; these include televisions with Web TV and full cable access, compact disc player and DVD, and high-speed Internet access if needed.

The Clift's private apartment is the most sumptuously appointed guest accommodation, boasting the original wood paneled walls and fireplace, as well as beautiful custom Starck-designed furnishings. Chic and elegant, while at the same time warm and comfortable, it has the look and feel of a classic turn of the century home, with a distinctly modern twist.

The hotel recommends its beautiful fitness center, open 24 hours a day offering the latest ultimate equipment. Here, guests may exercise in a soothing environment or may choose to relax with a room massage and spa services available upon request.

The Clift's famous and historic Redwood Room has been restored and transformed in to an exceptionally elegant and modern site. The atmosphere permeates extreme glamour, with its interior features, original redwood paneling and enormous bar that was supposedly carved from a single redwood tree. Starck also designed the elegant lounge furniture, where there is an ever-changing display of digital artwork shown on plasma television screens hung throughout the room. The Redwood Room is a cherished San Francisco landmark, reborn in all its sumptuousness and elegance.

The Cliff Hotel is the most stylish and cool retreat in San Francisco, infusing an unequaled feel of style and elegance.
