InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Heads West

Luxury Hotels: InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is expanding its brand into the Western United States with the opening of four new luxury hotels. Each hotel will carry on the tradition of excellence which has long been found in the InterContinental brand.

The brand's Insider Experiences offer guests a unique taste of the culture and attractions within each particular location. From leisure and shopping to special occasions and events, the InterContinental concierge team will ensure your stay is one you will never forget.

The InterContinental San Francisco, which opened its doors in February of 2008, is conveniently located in the city's South of Market Area (SOMA) and is adjacent to the Moscone West Convention Center. Highlights of the hotel include gourmet dining at Luce, which features Tuscany and California-inspired cuisine. As part of the Insider Experiences, the concierge can provide guests with tickets to the theatre's longest running musical revue as part of the Beach Blanket Babylon Experience.

In January of 2007, the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City debuted. Situated within walking distance of 20th Century Fox Studios and located just minutes from Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive, this hotel is ideal for anyone in search of the ultimate L.A. experience. Guests can take advantage of the hotel's Insider Experiences and enjoy a red carpet tour of Hollywood's mountains, beaches and homes in the comfort of a luxury van and helicopter.

With 208 guestrooms overlooking Monterey Bay, The InterContinental Clement Monterey offers special concierge packages, which include the Monterey Bay Aquarium Experience. Within the hotel, the C Bar and Restaurant features some of the freshest seafood and organic produce found in the Bay Area. The InterContinental Clement Monterey opened in May of 2008.

The InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa Paradise Valley is scheduled to open in November of 2008. Inspired by the architecture and décor of Southern Spain, the hotel will feature a 31,000-square-foot spa with 19 treatment rooms and a private pool overlooking Camelback Mountain. The Insider Experiences include a private outdoor yoga session with a world-renowned instructor and a private helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon.

While each new hotel offers something distinct based upon its location, each Insider Experience is equally as accommodating and luxurious.
