AKA Leads the Race for the Who's Who in Extended Stay

Luxury Hotels: Redefining the concept of extended-stay accommodations, AKA luxury suites are in a class of their own. Establishing a reputation for setting the bar in customer service, the properties rival and often times outperform even the most elite five-star hotels. Here the concept is as clear as the name: AKA simultaneously meaning "Also Known As Your Home Away from Home" and "A Korman Accommodation."

Residences at AKA are designed with all of the amenities of home. Apartments have either wet bars, complete kitchens or both. A washer and dryer add to the level of convenience and handsome décor creates a space that is inviting and elegant. Patrons can be proud to invite clientele into their "home" to conduct business. In fact, understanding that many guests will be utilizing the property for professional purposes, Aka provides a complimentary business center, wireless Internet and concierge services that seem to know no bounds.

Saying the staff at AKA go out of their way for clients is an understatement. Would you like to be instructed on a craft you have always wanted to master? Take a ballet lesson or gain an understanding of another language? AKA's Web site encourages future guests to learn something out of the ordinary while staying on site; photography, juggling, magic or martial arts. Many AKA Lifestyle Programs are just a phone call away. If not, simply design your own unique experience.

Taking up residence in a foreign city can have its side effects; sleep deprivation topping the list. AKA Sleep School is now available at all four of the Manhattan properties. Partnering with the New York University School of Medicine Sleep Disorders Center and the New York Sleep Institute, AKA offers clients the opportunity to participate in seminars that will educate them on how to achieve a restful night of sleep. Private in-room screenings are available to evaluate individual afflictions. Suites are also assigned while taking into consideration specific needs; a westward facing room may afford a client that much more sleep in the morning.

A variety of floor plans are available based upon the location. Large studios, two or three bedroom apartments and generously appointed penthouse suites are available in New York, Virginia, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and soon, Los Angeles. Currently there are nine AKA locations throughout the East Coast. Each of the properties rest in a prime location within its city. AKA Times Square is nestled away from the noise and close to the action. AKA Whitehouse is a short distance from many important cultural and political establishments, lying only two blocks away from Pennsylvania Avenue. For added convenience, residents also have access to car services thanks to a partnership between Zipcar and AKA. Cars are available for use nearly on-demand and may be used for as little as an hour.

Close attention to detail merged with superior service and amenities make AKA properties a leader in hospitality. Knowing that every property employs a staff that is both caring and attentive brings the kind of peace of mind that keeps residents looking forward to their next visit. Any hotel can provide luxurious accommodations. Only AKA provides an environment that patrons happily refer to as their second home.
