In 2002 a new extension was built, creating a superb innovative interface between the 19th Century original building and the daring new contemporary structure that hangs over the rocks to the sound of lapping waves.

Unique in concept, the designer rooms originate from an invitation to select top Portuguese fashion designers to "dress-a-room."

This year the hotel is undergoing further renovations and an extensive interior design make over to ensure its loyal guests a new experience to enjoy every time they return: that of luxury redefined.

The Mix

The Mix offers a wide variety of fare including sushi, pastas, salads and main courses. the private mix

The Private Mix room, ideal for small private parties, celebrations and business meetings, has a capacity for 10-40 persons.

The hotel offers a plentiful activities including golf, horseback riding, tennis, karting, flying, fishing and adventure sports. Also available is a car and motorcycle racetrack

Recently renovated, the saltwater pool and sundeck are serviced during summertime by the Out on the rocks lounge bar which also offers light lunches.

Towel service is at your disposal. Massages are available just a stroll away on the secluded lower terrace on the rocks.

Cascais

The town huddles around a fishing bay outlined by splendorous vintage palacios and townhouses. Downtown is an array of elegant shopping streets refreshing esplanades, a gamut of restaurants and a cheerful view of dozens of fishing boats and yachts afloat. The charm of the old town quarter is a colorful pastiche of small houses, narrow alleys and cobbled streets of bygone days.

The Estoril Coast, on which Farol is situated, enjoys a priviliged climate and has a string of fine sandy beaches dotting the shoreline, while the lush country side climbs uphill towards the Sintra mountains.

Beaches, cycling, rollerblading, water sports, 10 golf courses, tennis, horse riding, car racing, Casino do Estoril - for gamblers and entertainment shows, marina are all playgrounds.
