Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza Becomes the Brand's First Property in Europe

Anyone who’s ever experienced a Hard Rock Hotel (HRH) already knows that a fun time is pretty much guaranteed, and their always-swanky accommodations will make you feel pretty cool…maybe even hip. And sure, most know that all the hotels have a heavy focus on music, mainly rock ‘n roll, which makes them even more enjoyable. But did you know that they have yet to make their mark in the European hotel market? That is, until now.

Choosing Spain as the location for their first destination (brilliant choice, if you ask us), the brand will open the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza on May 18, 2014. Of course, since this is an HRH property, they couldn’t just cut a ribbon to announce their opening, they’re going to do it up big as the host for the Ibiza International Music Summit (IMS) on May 21-23. Considered one of the world’s most influential music industry gatherings, IMS will be the perfect introduction to the hotel, especially since many HRH guests tend to have a deep love for music and its artists.

The new property will hold 493 guestrooms and 235 suites which will be inspired by the Spanish island’s Mediterranean styles and the brand’s rock ‘n roll attitude. All rooms will include Hard Rock’s signature beds with ultra-plush linens. And if you’ve slept in one of their beds before, you know how heavenly they can be, as in, you'll probably leave having bought one to get shipped back home.

When you’re hungry, you can choose from buffet-style dining to authentic Mediterranean cuisine and cocktails and live music at Lost Heaven Sky Lounge. At Yabisa, both indoor and outdoor dining is available and the restaurant serves an eclectic selection of specially-themed dishes that can be enjoyed while overlooking the ocean.

Now, getting to the good stuff, the activities around the hotel. Guests will be able to spend a day at the Rock Spa®, workout at Body Rock® or buy merchandise at the world famous Rock Shop® during their visit. Since the hotel will be located in one of the hottest destinations for some of music's most legendary innovators, Hard Rock will feature an open-air stage where internationally acclaimed bands and artists can entertain guests year-round. The resort will also feature two main pools, a hot tub and three swim-up guestroom pools.

All around Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, music memorabilia will decorate the walls and fans can also participate in the brand’s amenity program, The Sound of Your Stay®. Made up of three categories: Tracks, Picks and Mix, the program offers guests a range of offerings based on their choice. If you love a certain song and want to be a master mixer, opt for the Mix option and get a Traktor Kontrol Z1 mixer, iPad loaded with digital mixing software and high-end headphones sent directly to your room. But if you’d prefer to make your own music, the Pick program allows fans to browse through a menu of 20 Fender® guitars for an in-room jam session complete with amps and Nixon headphones.

Clearly, Hard Rock is looking to move into the European hotel market by making a lot of noise; they want to be seen and heard like the divas they are. As far as we’re concerned, you won’t find any complaints here. Rock on, Ibiza!
