Madada Mogador in Eclectic Essaouira, Morocco |
| Quiet, unassuming, minimalist – these words best sum up Madada Mogador, a comfortable riad centrally located in Essaouira, a picturesque port resort on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Madada Mogador’s relaxed atmosphere is due in great part to its willowy manageress, Pauline, and her helpful, unobtrusive staff. |

Le Bristol Hotel | The Epitome of Parisian Style and Luxury |
| If someone were to ask me where to stay for their first, and possibly only, time in Paris, without hesitation I would insist on Le Bristol Hotel. “The moment you step into Le Bristol,” states President and General Manager Didier Le Calvez, “you step into Paris.” It is so much more than just a luxury Parisian hotel with all its haughty splendor. Le Bristol is a hotel of Palace Distinction, giving you the authentic French experience. |

Honeymoon Destination | Alila Soori Luxury Villas in Bali |
| Our executive car winds its way along a narrow lane, which zig-zags through a tiny town centre into lush paddy fields. In the distance, my husband and I can see a towering volcano, which we are following in order to get to our corner of paradise. We're heading to Alila Soori, a Bali luxury hotel, for our honeymoon. Two weeks of sun, sand and relaxation will ensue now that the year of wedding planning is over. Alila Soori is only about an hour from Ngurah Rai International Airport, but after almost 24 hours of travel from the UK, we are more than pleased to reach our stunning one-bedroom pool villa. Although we are both shattered from the journey, we're still excited enough to want to explore. Our home |

Ecuador’s Mashpi Lodge Wins 2012 Design Award |
| Having never visited a cloud forest, which sounded to me like some magical, fantasy place where Hobbits might reside, I was really looking forward to spending the night at Mashpi Lodge, which was nestled deep in a 2,600 acre private Andean reserve. I had been forewarned that the lodge was still a few months away from being finished so I would be dining in the staff quarters, (the grand opening is scheduled for April 2012.) But I didn’t mind one iota since the lodge had just been awarded the coveted Wallpaper* magazine Design Awards 2012 for Best Resort! |

Hermitage Bay Five-Star Antigua Resort |

| Andy Thesen’s career in high finance took a dramatic turn the day he initially turned down a college grad seeking employment. Thesen (below), the owner of Hermitage Bay in Antigua, believes his accidental path to building a 5-star hotel in the Caribbean had a lot to do with the persistence shown by the young man seeking a foothold in Thesen’s former world of venture capital. |
