The Palms Casino Resort has been undergoing massive changes. $50 million dollar changes. The 428 newly renovated rooms are now available for booking. Renovations will continue periodically through 2013, so it is unclear as to whether your stay will be a peaceful one. Then again, in Las Vegas, peaceful is usually not what people are searching for.
The rooms have been redesigned by Klai Juba and Seed Design, to be luxurious and dramatic. Palms’ President states that “Sexy, sleek and cutting-edge, the redesigned rooms exemplify the polished experience guests can expect at Palms.” They feature “horizontal lines, warm wood tones and vibrant luxe velvet”. If that doesn’t get you in the mood for some kind of Vegas adventure, there’s a custom mural described as “seductive” and “contemporary” extending across the wall behind the bed.
The resort boasts "spa-like" bathrooms, however that may be a stretch, considering that the renovations are a step-in shower,a new vanity and upgraded lighting. The rooms are also equipped with modern technology, internet connected television and the like, just enough high-tech to survive, but remain user-friendly.
Rates start at $79 per night, and with a two night stay, guests are provided with a $50 dining credit, which is exciting, because the renovations also include two new and innovative restaurants in the Casino area. That area has also recently added a center bar, for when you gamble away or double your savings at the blackjack table. Apparently there have been complaints concerning the smell of the casino, but the resort promises they refurbished the air as well.
