Service providers in the luxury travel industry also are going for the gold this summer at the 2012 Olympics in London. In pursuit of appealing to affluent travelers, PlaneClear, a private-aviation firm, and In The Know Experiences, a specialty travel company, announced the formation of their partnership for the upcoming Olympics.
The firms are combining their services to create a five-night package that starts at $97,500. This is an opportunity for guests to obtain VIP access to the most in-demand events to occur during this summer’s games, according to the luxury-adventure providers. Aircraft available for the Olympic-package flights will include Challengers, Falcons, Gulfstreams, and Hawkers.
“The London summer Olympics has become the most exclusive event of the year,” said Seth Kaplan, founder of In The Know Experiences. “With tickets to events and flights to the British capital becoming increasingly difficult to obtain, this package offers access to a host of Olympics activities with elite experiential service being provided at every step of the way.”
Guests will stay at the new Belgraves, Thompson Hotel, in Belgravia. Belgravia is a district in Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea that is renowned for its super-expensive properties. Travelers can select access to three events with the best seating possible or to five events with second-level seating at the games. Options include swimming, diving, equestrian, water polo, gymnastics, and shooting competitions.
