Tower Bridge

The Tower Bridge is one of London's iconic architectural pieces, named for the nearby Tower of London. The bridge has been part of the London landscape since 1894, and the design is the result of a public competition.

The bridge is 800 feet long, and features two gigantic towers that are each more than 200 feet high. The center span is a drawbridge that allows ships to pass underneath, while the upper section allows 40,000 vehicles and pedestrians to pass each day.
