Bal Harbour Ups the Luxe Factor in Miami

Luxury Vacations: Just in time for winter getaways, Bal Harbour is upping the luxury factor for visitors.

The exclusive beach town is transforming into a world-class destination with a brand-new luxury hotel, ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa (and St. Regis is set to open its doors 2012); new designer stores at the famous Bal Harbour Shops including the first Lanvin store in the US and a free, ongoing cultural series. A new restaurant from celebrity chef Stephen Starr is also set to open.

To celebrate the luxe new happenings, some of Bal Harbour's exclusive boutiques are offering special and unique designs, available to shoppers all year round.

Bal Harbour Cartier has the "Love Cuff," a stunning piece of diamond and yellow gold. "Designed as a pave-set diamond tapered cuff, to the screw head motif onyx and half-moon diamond clasp, mounted in 18k white gold, inner diameter 5.4 cm, in a red leather Cartier case.

Requiring the highest level of professional craftsmanship, Cartier demonstrates the milgrain setting, where the metal surface is punctured into tiny beads which catch the light and ensures that not only the diamonds but the metal shimmers and glows, so increasing the hard refractive brilliance of the white stones.
