Headed to Milan for some shopping? Spoil yourself a little with a tailor-made travel detour first. The boutique tour operator Luxo Italia has come up with the lavish “WOW Winter Experience,” complete with heli-skiing, private guides, and Michelin star dining in your own private ski lodge for a week-long getaway. And it all starts with a private helicopter, picking you up right at the Milan–Malpensa International Airport when you land in Italy.

The helicopter flies up to six guests to the doorstep of the plush San Lorenzo Lodge in the Dolomites, where stunning mountain scenery and Italy’s best skiing awaits. Surrounded by a pine forest, the luxe log chalet comes with Jacuzzi, sauna and massage room where guests will receive up to four hours of massage per day. Food lovers will enjoy having a private chef to prepare all meals, snacks and canapés, in addition to a special dinner from Chef Paolo Donei, who’s family restaurant—Malga Panna, on the slopes of the village of Sorte—earned its first Michelin star when Paolo was just 19.

Your personal whirlybird doesn’t stand idly by. It whisks your group to the mountain tops for three days of heli-skiing and four days of downhill skiing through towering trees, wide open bowls, and the seemingly-endless glacial runs of the Dolomites. Slopes are available for almost every level skier, with additional guidance provided by a personal mountain guide. All details are taken care of by a private concierge.

Before departing Italy, guests are chartered back to Milan in the chopper for a personal shopper experience in the world-famous fashion district. You’ll want to pick up something special to wear that night, because the shopping spree is followed by dinner in the private home of one of the city’s most famous chefs. VIP Airport Assistance, private transfers by luxury car and 24/7 personal assistance by phone are included. The eight-night experience costs approximately $66,783 for a group of up to six people.
