Steeped in history, Las Ventas is arguably the most famous bullring worldwide. Some of the most brazen matadors of all time have come face to face with raging bulls within the venue. The Puerto Grande, also known as the "Door of Madrid," has gained recognition as it is the exit door reserved for the winning matadors. Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas also houses a chapel and a small hospital should a matador be injured during a fight.
