Instead of simply celebrating Frank Sinatra’s centennial birthday once, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is in the middle of a 100-day countdown where they offer special programming that highlights the Sultan of Swoon’s legacy. Why Sinatra? ‘Ole Blue Eyes spent a lot of his time at Fontainebleau—he even had his own permanent penthouse suite on the 17th floor—and performed several sold-out midnight shows at the hotel’s La Ronde Supper Club, alongside Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. The singer didn’t just frequent the hotel for concerts though, his films A Hole in the Head, Tony Rome, and Lady in Cement were all filmed on the property.
Fontainebleau’s Frank Sinatra 100 Day Birthday Celebration officially began on September 3 and there are daily celebrations that guests can partake in, as well as a few key events that that you won’t want to miss out on. The Nightly Toast at Bleau Bar is every evening at 6:30 p.m., where guests can toast to Frank with Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select whiskey, and 1950s menus can be found at the restaurants—“Brunch with Frank” at StripSteak by Michael Mina sounds especially appealing.
The Frank Sinatra Photo Gallery Official Unveiling & Launch of Sinatra–Exclusive Limited Edition Book is on September 30, which will give guests a chance to check out the pictures (and even purchase a few) and book before anyone else. The photo gallery features 34 rare images that were curated by the “Sinatra Family Archive, the Capitol Records and Warner Bros. Records archives, renowned photographer Terry O’Neill and the estate of Ben and Bernice Novack, the original owners of Fontainebleau.”
The hotel is also offering some pretty great packages for guests who want to “Live Like Frank.” Priced at $1,915, the offering includes “a two-night stay in a junior suite or above, a vintage Fontainebleau canvas bag, a Fontainebleau Luxury Art Book, one bottle of Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select, daily breakfast for two, two 50-minute ‘The Chairman of The Board’ massages at Lapis Spa, a $250 credit for dinner for two at one of four signature restaurants and the ‘Ultimate Sinatra’ CD featuring the singer’s greatest hits.”
Naturally, the lineup culminates on Sinatra’s 100th birthday (December 12) with a huge musical performance from an act that has yet to be announced.
