In 1899, Edwin Goodman worked for Herman Bergdorf, an immigrant from Alsace, France, in his tailoring establishment just above Union Square in downtown Manhattan. Bergdorf Goodman's devotion to luxury designers includes special designer boutiques offering CHANEL, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, and Yves Saint Laurent. And in the last few years, BergdorfGoodman.com has made it possible to remotely shop for the luxury items found in the iconic New York store's location.
