Prospect Park

With more than 10 million visitors every year, the 585-acre Prospect Park is an impressive landmark located in the heart of Brooklyn. The park was designed and created by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, the same duo who is responsible for Central Park in Manhattan. The park features the 90-acre Long Meadow, 60-acre lake, and Brooklyn's only forest.

Since the park is so expansive, it provides many things for visitors to do like pedal boating, bird watching, and picnicking on the Long Meadow. The park also boasts a stunning collection of natural features like waterfalls, streams, rolling meadows and shaded hillsides. It's also a home to many forms of wildlife such as owls, woodpeckers, hawks, and 18 species of duck, as well as chipmunks, bats, rabbits, and butterflies.
