New York Culture: The Ellis Island Immigration Museum is part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument, and is one of the country's most visited parks. The museum is the converted remains of the main building that twelve million Americans passed through as the United States welcomed them to the promised land.
A self-guided tour here takes guests past the new Immigration History Center and the American Immigrant Wall of Honor, and includes admission to the Ellis Island Living Theater and an award-winning film documentary.
