Continuing their Inside Chanel series, Chapter 12 of the French fashion couturier’s film series named Paris by Chanel, takes consumers on a tour of the five locations in the city that are most significant to the house. Viewers will get a sneak peek into the Grand Palais, the current home of their runway shows as well as its atelier on Rue Cambon.

Bridging the gap between its past and present, the film seeks to give lovers of the brand further insight into why Chanel has become the most important Parisian brand. “The places/spaces highlighted in the twelfth video of Inside Chanel puts emphasis on a journey that has yet to be completed – the spaces that created and continuously creates the house of Chanel, which is the essence of the entire video,” Sebastian Jespersen, CEO and founder of Vertic, New York.

Beginning the three-minute film is a voice over explaining that five numbers will be explored, to give a deeper meaning to Chanel’s logo of its N°5 perfume. Historic images and new images will showcase the meaning behind the iconic number. First up, No. 1 represents Rue Cambon, the location of many notable addresses including 19, where creative director Karl Lagerfeld presents his collections.

Number two represents Ms. Chanel’s preserved apartment, followed by number three: The Ritz-Carlton, where she began living in 1937 and passed in 1971. Throughout the video footage of present and past shows are displayed leading to the final of the five numbers, the Grand Palais.

Here, the space is transformed for each of Chanel’s breathtaking runway shows. If you’re even a little bit of a fan of the esteemed fashion house, this secret look behind the scenes will be a rare treat. Chanel also included still from the video to get a better look at the imagery in each destination featured in the flim.

“Each of the videos from the Inside Chanel campaign have done an excellent job at allowing fashionistas and consumers to immerse themselves in the story behind the house of Chanel and the last video is a elegant closing to this,” said Jespersen. “The story of Coco Chanel has been told, but the story of Chanel as a brand has only just begun."

Closing out the footage, the voice over tells us that with Mr. Lagerfeld at the helm, Paris will “remain eternally shining in Chanel.” You can watch the full video below.
