Let the Rooftop Days Begin: Our Favorite Rooftop Bars in London

Summer is nigh and it's only right that we show you the top rooftop bars in London, for a cool Summer's drink overlooking the city. Take note, London is truly amazing during the warmer months and the rooftop bars especially, can become busy very quickly. Be sure to arrive early to get your prime spot and enjoy the amazing views this city has to offer.

Radio Rooftop Bar

Radio Rooftop Bar gives you 360-degree views of London and is actually open all year round. It features some of the best panoramic sights in the city, with The Shard, Tower Bridge, Somerset House all within view. 

It's best to book in advance (minimum spends apply). Tapas and cocktails are served from around £10 each, with occasional live DJ Sets. Open from 12:00 P.M.-1:00 A.M. (Mon, Weds and Sun) or 12:00 P.M.-2:00 A.M. (Thurs-Sat). Smart dress code applies, so dress to impress!

 

 

 

 

Ace Hotel London

Ace Hotel London

Set in trendy Shoreditch, the Ace Hotel is equipped with a seventh-floor rooftop bar and club. The hotel will play host to a range of DJs in the Summer. In the meantime, treat yourself to a rooftop brunch (from £29). 

The bar is also perfectly suited to hosting a sophisticated birthday celebration or corporate function. Within a few strides of Shoreditch High Street Station, it is an exclusive private hire venue and they're very experienced in hosting private events.

SkyLounge By DoubleTree at Hilton

Based atop the DoubleTree by Hilton at Tower Hill, SkyLounge has amazing views of central London including the Gherkin, St. Paul's Cathedral and Tower Bridge from the North Terrace. 

With exceptional service, stunning views and great comfort, the SkyLounge is an ideal place to relax after a days work, and you can do it in style. There are an eclectic mix of drinks available from the menu including imaginative cocktails, quality wines, bottled beers and fine whiskeys.

Coq D'Argent

Coq D'Argent is a great place for a date or after work drinks or enjoying French dining with mates. The venue hosts a great wine and cocktail list and has a great garden on the roof where patrons can enjoy the buzz of drinking with the high fliers of London. Perched nicely on the roof of No.1 Poultry, the venue commands excellent views of of the city of London and spectacular landmarks like Mansion House, Monument, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Bank of England.

Coq D'Argent works on a first-come first-serve basis in the bar area and does not accept guestlists, although reservations can be made for diners.

SushiSamba

SushiSamba offers a fantastic mix of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, culture, music and design, as well as one of the largest selections of Sake in the world. They also have a range of signature cocktails with a SushiSamba twist, as well as traditional beverages like wine, beer and champagne. Located in the top three floors of the famous Heron Tower in Bishopsgate, the venue has two large outdoor terraces offering unparalleled views of the city. One of the terraces holds a stunning copper-colored tree as the center focal point above the bar area. 

The bar is available for walk-in guests with no reservations. However, if you plan to eat, booking in advance is advised.

The Berkley Knightsbridge

Rooftop pools are hard to come by in London, and those that are available are usually only open only to members or guests. Which is why The Berkley is just a little bit special. Non-guests are welcome at a price of £150 for the day.

The price includes access to the pool (which is great for indoor and outdoor swimming thanks to a retractable roof), the secret garden (it's a secret so that's all we're telling you) and the Bamford Haybarn spa. There is also a state of the art gym available for your use. 

If you're not thinking about being healthy, the rooftop bar is a great place to go to for cocktails during sunset or in the hot afternoon.
