Family Vacations in Orlando

Family Vacations in Orlando: If your summer vacation plans include the whole clan, Orlando, Florida is the perfect place for parents and kiddos alike. With an excess of thrilling rides, animal attractions and elaborate parades, Orlando is guaranteed to put a smile on any child's face. While the attractions score big with the kiddos, parents will be overjoyed with the luxurious amenities offered by many of the surrounding Orlando hotels.

Universal Studios
Universal Studios offers just as much excitement for mom and dad, as it does for the little ones. The local attraction features two theme parks — Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure — as well as Universal City Walk, a 30-acre restaurant, and a unique blend of shopping and nightlife. Also on the grounds are three luxuriously themed hotels, which include the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel, and the Loews Royal Pacific Resort.

Aquatica, SeaWorld’s newest park, puts a new and exciting spin on the traditional water park. In addition to boasting massive waterslides and wet and wild adventures, Aquatica is also home to an extensive collection of animals, including Commerson’s dolphins, giant anteaters, exotic birds, fish, and more. The waterpark features 36 waterslides, six rivers and lagoons, and more than 80,000 square feet of sandy beaches.

Walt Disney World
A family trip to Orlando just wouldn’t be complete without paying a visit to the world famous Walt Disney World. From Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk, to the Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, entertainment options are endless at Walt Disney World. And if you should happen to need an escape from all the excitement, the park even offers four award-winning championship golf courses on-site. Walt Disney World is comprised of four major theme parks, including the Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Magic Kingdom Park
Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park offers 107 sprawling acres of enchantment. With fairytale characters lurking around every corner, extravagant parades, and seven whimsical lands to discover, the Magic Kingdom has long been a classic crowd pleaser.

Epcot Theme Park
Spanning 300 acres, the Epcot Theme Park is twice the size of the Magic Kingdom and is divided into two zones: the Future World and the World Showcase. The innovative Future World explores technological advancements and is home to the iconic Spaceship Earth. The World Showcase is a collective of pavilions that offer shopping, attractions and restaurants, each as diverse as the 11 countries they represent.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park
As the largest animal-themed park in the world, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is home to more than 1,700 animals. The 500-acre park is divided into seven areas, including Oasis, Discovery Island, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Asia, Dinoland, and Rafiki’s Planet Watch area.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers a behind-the-scenes look into the exciting world of entertainment. The park is overflowing with attractions, backstage tours, and Hollywood-themed live shows. Here, you can collect autographs, participate in parades, and live out a rock ‘n’ roll fantasy, with attractions such as the American Idol Experience.

This summer, you’ll want to round up the kiddos and pack your bags, because nothing compares to a fun-filled family vacation in Orlando, Florida.
