Le Meurice, When History and Fashion Rally

Luxury Hotels: Le Meurice is located in the highly fashionable rue de Rivoli. Flanked by the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde, Le Meurice has a special place in world history having played host to royalty and dignitaries over the centuries. It is also one of the swankiest, most fashionable spots in town. A quaint and lovely confluence, surely.

Le Meurice is like the French diamante that glows between the romance-filled Tuilleries Garden, the bustling Parisian cafes, and the endless line of trendy boutiques. Imagine being within a stone's throw to well-known names like Cartier, Colette, and Maria Luisa.

Le Meurice in Paris contains seven floors, each with a distinctive style. The rooms and suites have been built with the idea of fostering the emotion of calm and restfulness. The frenetic traveler is made to feel that he has arrived in an oasis, a relaxation haven. The rooms have been constructed after the style of Louis XVI.

Each room in Le Meurice comes equipped with a private entrance and seating area as well as a private bar and refrigerator, custom-made bath products, a huge en suite marble bathroom, bath robes and slippers, hair dryer, shoehorn and clothes brush, and personal scales. You also get maid service twice daily, a writing desk, an in-room safe, non-allergenic pillows and duvets, air-conditioning, etc.

For all the old world air, Le Meurice offers its guests high-tech technology in terms of high-speed Internet access, multi-line telephones (even one in the bathroom), TV Internet connection, access to private phone and fax numbers, LCD and plasma screens with 120 international channels. Films and music are also available separately on request. As a guest at Le Meurice you also get a DVD player in your room, laptops, and fax machines, all on request.

The piece de resistance is the Presidential one-bedroom suite with its huge two-meter king-sized bed, a beautifully decorated fireplace, a large seating area, a fully stocked mini bar and the works.

Don't forget to dine either at the Restaurant Le Meurice or Le Dali. If you choose the latter, you will find yourself gazing up to the huge canvas painted by Ara Starck. The brunette woodwork and the soft lighting appear ideal for sipping a cocktail while you sample dishes from the kitchen of the Chef Yannick Alleno who has been awarded three stars at the Guide Michelin.

Great comfort combined with great style is the hallmark of Le Meurice.
