Paris Culture: Auguste Rodin is widely considered to be one of the greatest sculptors not only of his own era, but of all time. Throughout France visitors will find many replica and casts of his sculptures, and here at the Musee Rodin guests are given a glimpse at countless works of his both finished and in-progress.
There are several museums in France dedicated to Rodin's collection, the largest being in Paris at the former Hotel Biron. This gem of Parisian Rocaille architecture is home to the museum and was once where Rodin worked, so many of the sculptures placed in the massive garden were his own choices and locations. |
