Paris Things To Do: Originally known as the Place Royale when constructed in 1612, this square is the oldest in Paris. The building of this square marked the early stages of urban planning in the city in order to rebuild what had fallen into disrepair during the medieval ages.
Grass, gardens, and gorgeous fountains dot the plaza today, and many of Paris' high society have been raised in the surrounding townhomes above the romantically encircling arcade. |
