Philadelphia Culture: The Betsy Ross House is widely believed to be the location where the first American flag was made. The house today is run as a living museum, with new exhibits from season-to-season. Visitors to the house can see a modern-day Betsy Ross in her upholstery shop, learn about how the first flag was made and what led to the stars and stripes design.

The house is adorned with period pieces of furniture and décor, so walking through the doors here is like taking a step back in time, complemented by the staff of performers who always remain in Colonial character.
