Luxury Resorts: Guana Island Resort, British Virgin Islands is paradise in seclusion. One of the very few remaining privately owned island resorts in the world, Guana Island is much like some place out of a Sidney Sheldon novel. It is no exaggeration to say that there is no other place like this luxury resort anywhere under the sun.

At first glance the Guana Island resort appears like a friendly, open castle. At any given moment you might expect knights in golden armor on a white steed to ride out into the sunset. The entire architecture is of stone and harks back to when the place was a sugarcane plantation owned by American Quakers.

Suites, Beach Cottages and Villas are available on Gauna Island. Beach cottages are secluded with their own private beach, while villas provide private infinity pools, terraces and are high among the hills with breathtaking views. You may have your meals at the Club of the Guana Island resort, or you can arrange to have them in the seclusion of your cottage or villa. If you choose to, you may rent the entire island of Guana for up to 36 guests. When you rent the island, meals and refreshments are included, wines are selected daily, you have unlimited use of all of the amenites including laundry service.

If you are looking for a romantic getaway with your partner with all the works thrown in - including candle-light dinners - you will not be disappointed. Guana Island offers romantic honeymooner's and wedding packages. The honey mooner's package includes meals and refreshments, a welcome bottle of champagne, ulimited use of most amenities, a Cast Away Picnic to a remote beach and a sunset cruise around the island.

For the outdoor buff, there's windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling and more. Guana Island resort also abounds with tennis courts, hiking trails and golf courses. There is something for everyone. The food at the Guana Island resort is fresh. Only the freshest sea-food, fruits and vegetables (grown right on the island!) are served. Guana Island in the BVI is a place to rejuvenate and truly get away from everything. This is a place and experience you are not likely to forget.
