Luxury Resorts: No matter that millions were poured into building or renovating a fantastic resort, it's impossible to replicate a compelling portrait created by nature.
Colorado Springs' Garden of the Gods Lodge overlooks quite the portrait- snow-capped mountains wrap an array of bold red rocks jutting from rolling, oak-covered hills. This "Garden of the Gods" landscape by Mother Nature is so noteworthy, it sets the Garden of the Gods Lodge apart from so many other distinguished resorts.
The Lodge was initially a private club for over 50 years, enjoyed by just a select group of locals who cherished the natural scene within an elegant club. A few years ago, the private club elected to allow outside visitors to the Lodge and it thus became a destination for golfers, mountain travelers, and Colorado Springs tourists.
Any one of the 75 suites are generously spacious. The walk-in closet was nearly the size of a small bedroom, and the vanity area with two separate sinks provided space for guests to shuffle around blow dryers and makeup counters.
Enjoy strolling right from your patio to the grassy reflection pool area and then to the dining room, all of which overlooked the Garden of the Gods scenic view.
Unlike some well-regarded resorts that bustle with constant lobby guests, busy bellhops, and packed dining rooms, the Lodge has a welcoming ambiance. When the membership decided to open the lodge to the public, they made it a priority to maintain the personal aura of the space, the feeling of a heavenly home amongst the beautiful landscape.
