The Preserve at Botany Bay Takes Shape

Luxury Resorts: The Timbers Company has received approval to begin work on the Preserve at Botany Bay. The multi-use luxury resort will be developed on 367 acres located in the secluded western tip of St. Thomas. Previously, the area was the private property of the Corning family. This luscious haven of a site has had no public access to it for approximately 80 years. Fifty-two private estate lots are available now for sale that will allow owners to raise dream homes or dreamy investment properties. The lots range in size from two to 14 acres and offer postcard-like picturesque views of the Atlantic and Caribbean waters. Owners of these lots will be treated like guests and receive the same service and amenities of travelers staying at the soon-to-be five-star boutique hotel.

There also will be 40 two-story hilltop villas with three- and four-bedroom homes, as the dwellings will be spread over 20 two-story duplexes. Fall 2006 is the anticipated release date of these villas. Additionally, 25 hillside lots, which are to be built on one- and two-acre lots, are scheduled for release in the summer of 2007. A private-residence club will offer furnished residences with four bedrooms and 3,600 square-feet of living area.

As previously indicated, a five-star boutique hotel with 48 one-bedroom suites and 18 two-bedroom suites is being incorporated into this luxury complex. Fine and casual dining restaurants along with ample nightlife options complete the mix. Biking, hiking, diving and snorkeling and guided day trips will be offered by the beach club. Elaborate exercise facilities and a full-service spa are planned as well.

The Timbers Company is renowned for developing multi-use luxury complexes and resorts with additional lavishly extravagant properties such as The Timbers Club in Snowmass, Colorado; The Rocks Luxury Residence Club in Scottsdale, Arizona; the Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; the Castello di Casole in Tuscany, Italy; and One Steamboat Place in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
