Hard Rock, San Diego: No Introduction Needed

Luxury Hotels: Ambiance at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is one of chic rock. This hotel's design is rock star inspired: a ton of fun in a lavish setting. Leather adorned bars contrast the dripping chandeliers. There is no mistake this place feels rich; without being one drop stuffy. The Hard Rock is not just a place people come to stay; it's a place that even the locals flock to.

Every guest room at the Hard Rock offers "Sleep Like a Rock" bedding with 300-thread count linens, refreshment centers, rain showers, a fully integrated entertainment center with a 42" HDTV and ports for any kind of electronic item you may have with you. Of course no room at the Hard Rock would be complete without a complimentary issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.

Hard Rock San Diego has a hand full of specialty rooms including the Rock Star Suites and the Black Eyed Peas Suite. Collaborating to come up with a design, will.i.am, Fergi, apl.de.ap and Taboo created the suite to raise awareness for their charity: The Peapod Foundation. Each completely different from the other, the Hard Rock houses 17 Rock star Suites. Some suites boast fire pits, others an outdoor hot tub or spa bathroom. Naturally all of the rooms have one thing in common: To appeal to the Rock Star in you. Each of the suites are outfitted with leather couches, hand woven rugs and ultra-chic décor.

Entertainment is superfluous at the Hard Rock and nestled right in the middle of the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego a guest could stay here for a year and never run out of things to do. Folsom's is a live concert venue that plays host to everything from celebrity DJ's to live or unplugged sets. As the space is available for private use, the Hard Rock also houses exclusive star-studded parties from time to time. Sweetwater saloon is a slightly more relaxed atmosphere where patrons come to sip a cold one and take in the game. Moonstone lounge offers cocktails by the pool, and celebrity-chef owned Nobu serves up yummy sushi dishes. Maryjane's coffee shop serves lighter fare till the early morning hours and trendy Pinkberry offers refreshing frozen yogurt right next door.

This kind of a hotel is few and far between. Collector's pieces that any rock fan would covet line the wall of the lobby area; things like pages ripped out of rock legends' notebooks. An ultra-hip and totally swanky property, the Hard Rock San Diego is the ultimate in chic accommodations in the heart of the Gaslamp.
