Gitane

In the overtly liberal land of San Francisco, it's no wonder that one of their premier restaurants is named after a free-wheeling gypsy. Chef Bridget Baston heads the kitchen at Gitane, which puts out dishes replete with the flavors of the Iberian Peninsula.

Gitane features an eclectic interior, taking design cues from the '50s, '60s and '70s and bringing them all together in the this quiet alley, tucked away in the city's bustling Financial District.
