Seattle's Best Coffee Houses

Posted: Jun. 4th, 2012  |  By Amy Hughes

Though well known as the birthplace of Starbucks, Seattle is home to some of the best local coffee shops in the country. On your next trip to the largest city in Washington State, don’t settle for the fast food of coffee when you will have hip and gourmet coffee bars at your fingertips. Being that Seattle is the “land of a million coffee shops,” here is a list of some of those that stand out to help you narrow down your numerous choices.

Caffe D'arte

Coffee at this small café is strong, tastes slightly toasted, is very well-balanced and they offer you chocolate with every order. Seating is limited, but if you do find a seat take one by the window for the perfect Seattle people watching location.

Seattle Coffee Works

Looking for a warm, cozy coffee shop with a fantastic staff? Seattle Coffee Works is the place to go. A place where you can relax and be comfortable, and drink amazing, locally roasted coffee, and if you happen to stop by twice you will be remembered. Located between two Starbucks, Seattle Coffee Works will not let you down.

Caffè Fiorè

Coffee connoisseur grade coffee and a comfy, welcoming atmosphere, Caffe Fiore is an ever expanding business in the Seattle coffee scene. With four locations and featuring organic coffee, this is a hip and happening café to grab a steamy cup of joe before embarking on one of the many Seattle adventures you are bound to take.

Neptune Coffee

Definitely not a place to sit in front of your laptop, Neptune Coffee has a thriving social life including trivia competitions and even knitting nights. Drink some delicious local coffee and partake in one of Neptune Coffee’s many events. This is one coffee shop you will return home talking about.

So when you wake up in your hotel, don’t settle for the hotel coffee or even the Starbucks around the corner. Hit up one of these local beauties and be ready for coffee as you have never experienced it!
