For the third year straight, a plug-in Toyota Prius has won the Rallye Vert de Montreal, held in the beautiful city the race is named after. If this isn't a telling sign for those looking for the best alternative-fuel vehicle on the market, it might just be impossible for Toyota to win them over.

The prestigious Rallye Vert de Montreal last week featured the plug-in Toyota Prius in the winner’s circle. It is the third time in as many years that Toyota’s best-selling hybrid took the first-place trophy in Canada’s only venue for the FIA Alternative Energies Cup races. Toyota was actually a double-winner at the event because its Lexus CT 200h came in second. The rally ranks cars based on their fuel efficiency and regularity (speed accuracy) throughout the 530-kilometer event. The Prius plug-in was first in both categories of scoring, thus took the top prize without any dispute.
