Wikipedia Superhero fans will get a treat in Savannah during the city's Film Festival this year when Stan Lee, creator of Marvel powerhouse characters like Spiderman and the X-Men, is honored with a lifetime achievement award.
Stan Lee -- godfather of Marvel Comics series including Spider-Man, The Avengers, X-Men and The Fantastic Four -- will be honored at the 2012 Savannah Film Festival, organizers confirmed Friday afternoon.
"He will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.," said the festival's Jenn Bins.
Earlier in the day, Lee appeared on a page of honorees with previously announced guests Matt Dillon, Diane Lane, Geoffrey Fletcher and Michelle Monaghan.
