100-year old Dallas hotel, are looking to sell the location rather than upgrade the facilities themselves to continue competing with more modern hotels. So if you're in the market for a beautiful piece of possibly-profitable Dallas history, look no further than this well-crafted hotel.

As the Adolphus hotel, the grand dame of Dallas inns, celebrates 100 years Friday, it faces a few 21st-century challenges.

It's flanked by nearby hotels that have spent multiple millions in the past few years on high-tech upgrades or new construction.

While the Adolphus has installed tech-friendly features recently, the last major upgrade took place when Jimmy Carter was president.

Travelers still are drawn to its Old World elegance.
