October 11th marks the beginning of Denver's 31st annual Great American Beer festival where beer aficionados from across the country will descend and get the festivities rolling. A great stimulus for local brewers and commerce alike, the festival promises to be the best yet with over 580 brewers in attendance.

The nation’s brewing industry will converge on Denver’s Colorado Convention Center this evening for the launch of the 31st annual Great American Beer Festival.

The three day event showcases 580 brewers from across the country pouring 2,700 beers to 49,000 attendees in what is the largest selection of American beers ever served.

Of the thousands of beers offered, every Fort Collins brewery except CooperSmith's Pub & Brewery, which passed on this year’s event due to staffing issues, will be promoting their beers to the nation tonight.
