With great numbers in Dallas for seasonal hiring, the news is good on two fronts. First, it means people who have been looking for a job without success will have a better chance to land a position and, second, the numbers show that America should be having a good holiday season economically.

Many retailers and other companies in the Dallas area have started hiring seasonal and part-time workers.

The National Retail Federation forecasts a healthy holiday sales growth this year, with retailers hiring 585,000 to 625,000 seasonal employees.

Dallas ranks among the top 10 cities nationally with the most seasonal job openings, according to a ranking by job search website Indeed.com.
