Nashville Visitors in Sticky Situation

Nashville Color Run

Nearly 10,000 visitors found themselves in a sticky situation as part of a 5 kilometer colored corn syrup coated run. Part of a fund raiser for Amputee Blade Runners, the sugary affair in Nashville was praised as an astonishing success, especially compared to previous attempts.

Organizers of Nashville's first 5K Color Run said about 10,000 people showed up to run and be blasted with colored corn syrup.

Angie King, customer service manager with Color Run, said Sunday's event, which raised funds for Amputee Blade Runners, which helps amputees afford prosthetics for running, said about 10,000 people ran in the race and were sprayed with colored corn syrup at color stations placed at each kilometer marker, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported Monday.
