Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee will be the site of a historic coming together of the largest marching band in its history with a coalition of four universities set to march as one. The event will take place Saturday at 6 pm.
Students from four universities will join forces to create the largest marching band in Vanderbilt's history and take the stage during the school's homecoming half-time show.
The sound of a marching band is considered by many as the heartbeat of the University and Vanderbilt's "Spirit of the Gold" marching band is no different.
"The spirit is the enthusiasm and the excitement of college football," said Director of bands at Vanderbilt University, Dwayne Sagen.
One of the things that make this marching band so unique is its make-up of students from Vanderbilt, Belmont, Lipscomb and Trevecca universities.
